
The Maui Police Department and FBI said Friday that the list of people missing since the Aug. 8 wildfire in Lahaina has dropped to 31. Authorities are seeking the public’s help and asking anyone who has information on the whereabouts of people on the list to contact the FBI at (808) 566-4300 or via www.fbi.gov/MauiFires.
If you live on Maui and want to provide a DNA sample as an immediate family member of a person you believe is still unaccounted for, call (808) 270-7771. If you live on a neighboring island or outside of Hawaii and want to provide a DNA sample, contact the FBI by phone or online.
