Gas prices in Hawaii remained relatively stable ahead of the busy Memorial Day holiday weekend, with most areas of the state seeing a slight decline and well below what they were a year ago. In Kahului, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas was $4.84 as of Thursday, one cent lower than last week and 72 cents lower than a year ago, according to the AAA Hawaii Weekend Gas Watch.
